PHSE - P4C

14/7/2020

Hello Year 2,
This is the last PHSE post before the summer holidays!
Last week we were discussing 'Positive Self Talk' and were  thinking about we could raise our self-esteem.
This week we will  look at a P4C question 'Would you rather have no TV or no sweets?' We will think about why  we might prefer watching TV to eating sweets  or why we might enjoy eating sweets  more than watching TV. Discuss both points of view and then decide on which you agree with most and say why.
During the summer holidays for PHSE I would like you to keep a journal about what healthy food you are eating and how you are exercising. Also tell me about how you are keeping calm and coping with your worries.
Email me your work at: [email protected]
Have a lovely break, see you soon!
Mrs Halim

RE - Praying in the mosque

13/7/2020

Hello Year 2,
This is the last RE post before the summer holidays!
Last week we looked at the different  activities and events that can take place in a mosque such as weddings, Quran classes and funerals.
This week we are going to compare what happens in a mosque to what happens in a church. We will also discuss what the similarities and differences  are between a church and a mosque.
During the summer holidays for RE,  I would like you to research  the festivals celebrated by different religions such as Eid, Christmas and Chanukah.  Discuss the similarities and differences between two or three different festivals.
Don't forget to email me your work at:
[email protected]
Have a lovely break, see you soon!
