Miss Edwards and Mrs Pearce have been very busy calculating the dojos for home learning last week. There was a tie for first place in 2C! Eron, Fajar and Hibah all came joint first. In 2L Alberto came first, Manahil came second and Hassan came third. You are all fannnnn-TASTIC! Who will receive the most dojos for this week? Remember - to get the most dojos you have to do the following:
Hello Year 2 children. Firstly can I thank all the wonderful children who completed their RE and PSHE work, especially Alberto, Dumitru, Hassan, Manahil and Rian. It made me so happy when Mrs Pearce sent me photos of your fantastic work!
In PSHE I want you to think of some questions you could ask a doctor about medicine, for example when and how to take medicine. Let your teacher know how you get on. Mrs Halim Here are your Topic activities for home learning. We will post 4 a week for you to do at home. Don't rush through them! Try to complete 1 a day. Mrs Pearce has her second weekly quiz on Kahoot ready for you to join in with! This weeks quiz is all about Geography and revisits lots of our learning about continents, oceans, Asia and the United Kingdom. How exciting! Here is this weeks quiz. Use your first name to access the quiz and PLEASE only do the quiz once so that it is fair for everyone!
Who can achieve the highest score? Children with the three highest scores will be announced on the blog next Monday! Good Morning Year 2! Welcome to your second week of learning from home. Every day Mrs Pearce and Miss Edwards will post English and Maths activities for you to complete so remember to check the blog every day! Make sure you leave us comments on the blog as we want to hear from you! Please email photos of your work to [email protected] (Miss Edwards) or [email protected] (Mrs Pearce). These are your spellings for this week! Can you read them? Can you spell them? Can you use them in a sentence? Can you find the word meaning in a dictionary (Kids Online Dictionary). Only 10 of you took part in Mrs Pearce's Great Fire of London quiz last week 😢 I hope those of you that joined in had lots of fun! The top three players were (drum roll please!):

Also Joe Wicks is hosting PE at Home every day at 9:00am. This is a great way to keep active in your own living room. Mrs. Pearce and Miss Edwards are crying uncontrollably into their miserable, soggy cornflakes because hardly ANY YEAR 2 CHILDREN are doing their work on :

Miss Edwards and Mrs Pearce have loved receiving comments and emails from you all this week . Some of you have been busy emailing us photographs of the work you have been doing at home and each week we are going to showcase examples of super home learning on the Year 2 blog. Thank you to Ayesha, Fajar, Hassan, Ibrahim, Nasat, Manahil and Amaan for sending photos of your home learning! 😃 Will your work be on the Year 2 Hall of Fame next week? Remember to email you work to [email protected] or [email protected] to have your work featured next Friday! Good Morning Year 2! From 10am to 4pm today Chester zoo are doing a live zoo tour with the following line up: 10:00 am Red pandas | 11:00am Giraffes | 12:00 am Asian elephants 1:00pm Butterflies | 2:00pm Sun bears | 2:30pm Tigers 2:45pm Penguins | 4:00pm Aquarium Enjoy a whole day of animal antics, live from your sofa here on Facebook! Hopefully the tiger in Mrs Pearce's living room has returned to Chester Zoo! Today's English activity is linked to the Chester Zoo live tour. We want you to write a recount of what you see at the zoo. Example: On Friday I excitedly visited Chester Zoo from the comfort of my sofa by taking part in a virtual tour of the zoo. First I saw lots of noisy, jumping monkeys cheekily throwing bananas. How naughty they were! Next I eagerly watched the graceful seals performing tricks with the zoo keepers. After that I stopped to have my lunch at home. I ate a delicious cheese sandwich and a juicy fruit salad. Later I looked at the crocodiles hiding in the dark, dirty water. Finally I saw my favourite animal of all! The black and white penguins waddled around their enclosure trying to eat all the smelly, slimy fish for their dinner. Penguins are my favourite animal because the way they waddle around always makes me laugh. What a fantastic day I had visiting Chester Zoo!
Mrs Pearce has made up the animals at the zoo ! Make sure you write about any animals that you see in the videos! Later today we will be posting some of the amazing work we've received from you this week. Keep an eye out! Will your work be there? Every day this week there will be a new Maths activity added to this blog post for you to complete at home. Numbers in Numerals & Words |
