The children support school development in different ways, including through our learning council and well-being warrior programmes. At Crumpsall Lane Primary School, we believe it is important that all children contribute to their learning and we ensure their opinions and views are listened to and acted upon.
School Council
Pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 learn about democracy and have the opportunity to represent their class on the School Council. Each year group elects a peer, who meet regularly with the School Council to discuss learning throughout the school and represent pupil voice. As our school strives to ensure planning and learning are pupil-centred, we evaluate the teaching and learning around school by observing lessons, looking at pupil’s books and classroom environments. We hold regular meetings to review the pupil’s feedback and also meet with the Senior Leadership Team and Governors to present our findings and proposals for change.
The School Council are also fully involved in organising whole school events such as ‘Crumpsall’s Got Talent’. We also help support fundraising for various charities throughout the year.
Well-being Warriors
Our enthusiastic team of Well-being Warriors consist of children from across the key stages. The team are dedicated to the improvement of health and well-being throughout our school.
