Good morning everyone!
These are the learning activities we want you to complete today in addition to English and Maths: The Joe Wicks work out . The work out starts at 9am and lasts for 30 minutes. Click on this link to take part: https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1 From 9.30 – 10.00 am, we want you to practise your spellings. The spelling lists were uploaded on a blog post dated 20/3/20. We suggest that you practise ten spellings each day (start on step 5). Remember to use the ‘Look, say, cover, write, check’ method to remember the spellings. Next, we want you to read for half an hour. Read your book or online text to an experienced reader if possible (this could be your mum, dad, carer, brother, sister or any other relative). While you are reading, ask the person who is listening to you read to ask you questions about the book/text. If you have any questions about the learning activities then please email us at: year5l@crumpsall.manchester.sch.uk (for Mr Ahmed-Swift) year5c@crumpsall.manchester.sch.uk (for Mr Tait)

Happy Monday! Here is a cool SPAG challenge.
What is a noun? How many types of noun are there? Can you give an example of each type of noun? Write a "How to" guide to using nouns in English for a friend who is in year 2 who has just arrived from Italy. Don't forget to send us your fantastic work! This week's winner is Zikria.
Well done for completing your home learning and sending it in for us to see! Hi all, For your science this week, I'd like you to watch this interview I did with Farmer Tom for the Great Science Share on Tuesday. Farmer Tom explains all of the science behind the world of farming, from understanding the weather to the billions of bacteria in soil. Hello everyone,
Star of the week award this week goes to Talal who regularly informs me that he is completing his home learning. Great effort Talal! I am really keen to hear about other children's home learning efforts and please send your work to me so I can display it on our blog! Have a lovely weekend! Good afternoon, This week I'd like you to sing the notes of a pentatonic scale. A pentatonic scale contains 5 notes. 'Me Tarzan you Jane' uses one pentatonic scale. I'd like you to follow the notes on the image below and sing the name of the notes in the order that they appear. The woman on the audio doesn't sing the names of the notes; she sings the words of the song, so you'll need to concentrate. Enjoy, Mr R Are you ready for a challenge?
