On Friday 15th March, 5L had their class assembly. Last half-term, we studied the Ancient Egyptians so we themed our assembly around this topic. We had a lot of fun practising it and it was a great opportunity for us to develop our oracy skills. Miss Curzon was very impressed with how much we developed our speaking and listening skills! We hope you enjoyed it.
5C made sundials as part of an investigation into the movement of the Earth around the sun and shadows.
We celebrated World Book Day on Thursday 7th March. Some of the class came dressed as their favourite book character. Can you guess who they are?
On the day, we studied the book 'Perfectly Norman' by Tom Percival. We created our own poems and designed our own wonderful wings. We also participated in the BBC Live Lesson and created our own bookmarks for a competition! Wish us luck! 5L had a great day and it was fun to share some of the stories we love. 5L have been learning all about the Ancient Egyptians. We had a full themed day where some of us dressed up as Ancient Egyptians! On the day, we did lots of fun activities including researching famous pharaohs and making our own cubic rods (the Egyptian form of measure). We even played a mummification game and tried some Ancient Egyptian food!
