Hello everyone,
This morning, Year 5 children had a very inspiring visit from 'Future First'. A couple of adult volunteers from 'Future First', who used to be pupils in CLPS, explained what their experiences of school was like and the amazing career paths they have followed since leaving school. One of the volunteers had become an air traffic controller, while the other volunteer had been a fireman, ran his own cleaning company , worked in the Royal Air Force and also become the Mayor of Manchester! The children took part in a variety of individual, partner and group activities to discuss the sorts of skills you would need to do a job that you wanted to do. It was an interesting and motivating morning! Please look at the photos of the morning shown below.
