Happy Wednesday everyone, did you know today is the start of a new month?
Today is Wednesday 1st April and it is April fool's day, so today there is no work.  Just kidding!

Some activities for the day to keep you busy...
So at 9am you can start the day with some exercise with Joe Wicks.  Just click here to get moving.

Please can you all stay up to date with your phonics.  This is super important for your reading and writing.  To watch today's session click here.
9:30am or 12:30pm  - Set 1 (all reception and nursery)
10am or 1pm - Set 2 (most reception)

Also, today Dr.Chip is making some rainbows.  So click here to join him at 10am and find out how to make your own rainbow at home.  You will need a bag of colourful sweets like Skittles, M&M's  or Smarties, also a deep saucer/plate, two cups of water (warm and cold).  There will be a worksheet available on his site  for you to try to complete with a grown up.

Literacy challenge
Yesterday we asked you to think about your favourite book and see if you could think of some rhyming words.
Today can you draw a character from your favourite book? Can you tell an adult what sound the character starts with? For example my favourite book is Shark in the Park, I could draw Timothy Pope.
Timothy’s name starts with the sound “t,t,t,t”
Can you think of any other words that start with that sound? I can think of “t, television, telephone, ticket, tea.”
Have a look around your house if you can’t think of anything.

If you want to listen to Shark in the Park   again and try some different activities follow the link and it will take you to some more things to try.

Maths pattern challenge
Today we are going to make different patterns  -  why don't we start it with a dance.  Click here for Banana Banana Meatball
Today we are going to make different patterns
Let’s try one with our body first.
Example: Head, Toes, head, toes, head, toes
Nursery, can you make one with two different parts of your body?
Now let’s try one with your 2 favourite colours
Example: Green, red, green, red, green, red,?
Can you try and draw it?
Can you try and make a pattern using items in your house?
I have made one using potatoes and onions and forks and spoons.
See if you can have a go.
See if you can find any patterns that already exist? It might be on some clothing, a blanket, a cup or even a plate.
Try watching some pattern videos - click here
