To conclude our World Nursery Rhyme Week, Nursery had a visit from Humpty Dumpty. Unfortunately he had had an accident! The children went outside to investigate.
We found him on the floor in pieces! What could have happened to him? Nursery sent for all the King's Horses and all the King's Men, but unfortunately they could not put Humpty back together again! The children decided that plasters would be a good choice to fix Humpty, as when they had bumps and grazes, plasters helped them to feel better. So we took him back inside and used plasters to mend him. To celebrate the end of World Nursery Rhyme Week, we invited our parents into school to join us for our singing session. Here are some photographs of EYFS enjoying themselves. Well done to all of our children for completing your challenge of singing 10 rhymes.
This week in nursery we have been taking part in World Nursery Rhyme Week. Over 106 countries across the world have joined in. The aim was to sing 5 nursery rhymes. However, here at Crumpsall Lane we love a challenge! So we set our children the task of singing 10 nursery rhymes, which we are going to perform for our families as part of a sponsored event.
During the week we have taken part in lots of nursery rhyme activities, here are a selection of them, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Two Little Dicky Birds, Incy Wincy Spider,Humpty Dumpty and I Had a Little Turtle. Today in nursery we observed the 2 minute silence for Remembrance Day. We made a giant poppy with Miss Simpson. In the playdough we also made poppies.
We held a competition in nursery to see who won the pumpkins to take home. Here are our winners! Well done boys
