A big well done to Saleh who has been given a reading certificate this week and we know you have had one each week, so keep up the good work. If you would like a reading certificate just log on to Bug Club and read three books in a week. Remember - if you are reading a book on Bug Club you must click on the aliens and do the activity. If it does not ask you to rate the book with faces at the end then you have missed something in the book. Mrs Kendall will not know you have read the book unless you do the alien activities. Reminder - we are on two week holidays from next week. Take the time to relax, enjoy the time at home and only if you choose take a look at some previous blogs and complete some activities. Star of the week A big well done to Ziyarah for all of their work at home. Watch the video below to see what special message your teacher has this week.

Hello everyone! This week's activity will help you to learn what different objects are used for and build up your vocabulary. You will need to listen carefully to your grown up and speak in full sentences. Have fun! Mrs Martin Good morning everyone, Welcome to the EYFS blog with this weeks activities. We hope you have had a lovely week. We loved all of the pictures and videos we were sent this week. Here are the activities for this week and they are all based on one of our stories, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, where you can pick as many activities as you feel you can do this week. The activities will suit all children and cover all areas of the EYFS . We have attached images above for you to use as examples, below are links to stories, songs and activities, then at the bottom of the blog are any files you might need to download or use to guide the learning. All of the EYFS teachers have contributed different ideas and so please share with us either by commenting on the blog or sending us an email and then we can celebrate your pictures at the end of the week. We will continue to have an activity that focuses on communication as well as the Friday celebration blog. Remember to watch phonics everyday by clicking here. We have been very pleased with the work we have seen so far. 9:30am or 12:30pm - Set 1 (all reception and nursery) 10am or 1pm - Set 2 (most reception) Also log in to your Bug Club to read one of your books. Well done to everyone who has read a book this week. These children have read at least three books this week and have been given a certificate. If you want a reading certificate remember to read at least three books a week on Bug Club. Another well done to Areej who is this weeks star of the week. Watch the video below from Mrs Subachus who has a special message. Hello everyone!
This week's challenge will help develop your concept vocabulary. Your grown up will send you on a treasure hunt to collect some special things. Listen very carefully to the special words. Have fun! Mrs Martin Dear parents/carers
I'm sure that you all watched the Prime Minister's message last night expecting to be told when your children can return to school. The date of June 1st was mentioned as a conditional date to return starting with children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6. There was little certainty to the message and the Local Authority will be working with headteachers across the city to unpick whether this is possible. As soon as a clear message is available we will let you know. Best wishes and stay safe. Ms Adams Good morning everyone, Welcome to the EYFS blog with this weeks activities. Good morning everyone!! Well done for another week of fantastic learning at home. We hope you enjoyed the activities and have managed to safely enjoy the weather. Please remember to keep in touch with us. You can tell us anything that you may have been doing whilst at home. Also, send in some photographs to our email address: [email protected] Literacy activity If you can go outside (or look through the window) can you see the shapes of the clouds? What do they look like? Can you tell a family member about what you have seen? Try to draw one of the clouds and label it with what you think it looks like. Maths activity First, watch this video and tell someone which colours you see and what you know about more and less. Take a look at the picture attached. What can you tell someone about which one has more? How do you know it has more? ![]()
