Last week we looked at a song in metre of 3( three/four time)
This week, I'd like you to listen to another song in metre of three; It's got more of a sway in the metre of three and so it is more obvious to identify it's metre than last week's song, Jerusalem which was a straight metre of 3. Click the link to hear the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8ee9qq9ECc As you listen, let the lyrics : 'Oom - pah -pah ' guide you as below counting 1 2 3 Practise until you get it right. Can you go through the whole song tapping the metre of three. Remember, you need to listen carefully. Have fun, Mr R This week's work will focus on transition. I know you are all excited about starting high school! It will give you the opportunity to ask us any questions you may have and see what lessons may look like when you are in high school - it really won't be that different! Mr Stokes and Mr Brown (the head of Y7) from Abraham Moss sent you this powerpoint so you can start to think about secondary school. You can ask Miss Cloherty and I any questions and we will do our best to answer them. If we don't know, we will ask Mr Brown.
What might maths look like in high school?
And English...?Design your own superhero - you could draw a matching picture.
Get ready for secondary science...
Easy peasy! Miss Cloherty and I have told Mr Stokes how lucky he is to have you all at Abraham Moss. We will see you before then but we wanted you to start to think about transition and give you the opportunity to ask us any questions you may have.
Stay safe xx Hi all,
For your science this week, I'd like you to watch this interview I did with Farmer Tom for the Great Science Share on Tuesday. Farmer Tom explains all of the science behind the world of farming, from understanding the weather to the billions of bacteria in soil. Last blog for this week. Don't forget to keep in touch through commenting or emailing us to let us know how you are. Enjoy the weekend. EnglishMathsScienceArtHello everyone,
I hope you are all well. As we are spending more of our time online at the moment, please can everyone watch this short video from the BBC about how to keep yourself when online. It contains some important messages to recap! https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/rse-ks2-safety-keeping-myself-safe/znnjbdm Watch the movie below. Try to conduct a metre of 3. This is also known as three, four time in music. When you have achieved conducting a metre of three, sing along with the audio whilst continuing to conduct a metre of three just using your hand ;you obviously won't be able to say 1,2,3 but you will be able to feel the groove. Enjoy Mr R. Bonjour!! This week we will be revisiting some of our previous work, so fingers crossed you remember some of it!!
2. Next, we have done the topic of Sports, so can you try this one!!
3. Challenge for this week! Read and draw. Here is some text, identify the rooms in the house. Read it more than once then think carefully to draw an image for each sentence.
4. And to finish off , some exercise!!
