Eid Mubarak to you and your families! May everyone celebrating have the best of days. Let us know what you’re doing or send a picture of your celebrations.
This half term I would like to give a certificate to someone who is progressing so much in their French learning and surprised me this week by emailing me a sound recording of their learning.
I like you to fill in a table of your influences from greatest to least, from the following: (1) parents/guardians 2(2) siblings) (3) teachers 4(pop star)
( 5) Grand parent (6) (friend/s)
Explain why you have chosen your greatest influence.
My greatest influence would be my grandfather because he was a musician.He played the piano but his greatest strength was his ability to sing. As a child, I spent hours transfixed by the sounds coming from his piano and his voice.
I wanted to know about musical instruments and so I questioned him relentlessly
as I wanted to know how songs were created. I wanted to play the way he did and sing the songs that he sang. I wanted to immerse myself in his world. We had a very special relationship- music!

Hi Year 6,
We hope you are well and staying safe during lockdown. The next two weeks are half term so we won't be posting anything on the block. I will try and update our class story when I can! During those two weeks, enjoy your free time - doing the things you enjoy with your family. If you want to practise your learning, use read theory, prodigy, sats bootcamp, ttrs etc to occupy your mind.

This week I'd like you to sing another song that we learned in assembly.It's called
'Stand by me' When you've familiarised yourself with the song, create your own
simple ostinato (repeated pattern) rhythm. Keep it simple.
