Future First Workshop with Year 5

15/6/2021

Hello everyone,

This morning,   Year 5 children had  a very inspiring visit from  'Future First'.    A couple of adult volunteers from 'Future First', who used to be pupils in CLPS,  explained what their experiences  of school was like and the amazing career paths they have followed since leaving school.  One of the volunteers had become an air traffic controller, while the other  volunteer  had   been a fireman,  ran his own  cleaning company , worked in the Royal Air Force and also become the Mayor of Manchester!

The children took part in a variety of  individual, partner and group activities to discuss the sorts of skills you would need to do a job that you wanted to do.    It was  an interesting and   motivating morning!

Please look at the photos of the morning shown below.

Hello children,

As today would have been your last half day in Year 5, there will be no work set on the blog for this afternoon.  I am sad that I have not been able to teach you face to face over the last three months, but I’ll make sure I’ll pop in to see you when you are in 6C in September.  I have really enjoyed teaching you all this year and want to wish you all the very best in Year 6!

Please take care and have a fantastic, fun Summer.  Stay safe!
