L.O. Can I recognise how a character acts and feels? We have been reading 'Stone Age Boy' which is a picture book. Picture books use pictures as well as text to tell a story. We are going to try and improve some of the sentences in the book so someone unable to see the pictures would get an idea of how it would feel to be on the hunt. Drama activity I want you to act out the hunt scene. Write down how your feeling during each stage of the hunt scene thinking of exciting verbs ! Example: Feelings - Curious, scared, excited Verbs - running, shouting, pointing How is the boy feeling at each stage of the hunt scene? Complete this sentence: I think he is feeling............... because....................... Example: I think he is feeling excited because he is running to see what happens next. Activity to complete Inside his body, you need to write words about how he is FEELING. Around the outside of his body, write verbs to describe what his body is doing. In the THOUGHT bubble write a question he might be thinking. My example: Now I want you to have a go.
Either print out or draw your own, make sure to: -write the boys feelings inside his body. -Write the boys action verbs outside his body. -Write a question in the thought bubble of what he could be thinking. Now it's your turn!
