This week, we are going to be looking at a new text. The text is 'The Gingerbread Star' by Anne Fine. Today, we will be completing the prediction and clarifying parts of our reciprocal reading. 1. Look at the front cover and use your inference skills (we talked about these in Writing last week!) to complete the sentence stem below: 'I predict the text is about... The reason I think this is because...' 2. Once you have completed your prediction, read the extract from the text attached below. Once you have read this, go back through the text and write down any words you are unsure of . You can then use the link to the online dictionary below to help you clarify the meanings.
