Reading - We are going to be focusing on different comprehension skills this week. Today we will look at words in context. If we look at the word rose in sentence 1. We know rose is a type of flower but it can also mean to get up. You need to look carefully at how the word is being used in a sentence. It helps if you you use a dictionary to check the meaning of any words you may not know. You can then use the meaning of the word to check if it makes sense and to decide which is the correct use of the word.
