L.O. Can I subtract numbers with up to 3 digits using a formal written method? 

-Remember the place value of each column. 
-Line up digits in H T   O 
-Always start with the ones column.

Activity - Chilli challenge! 
Look at the picture of the 'Chilli Challenge'.  
Group 3 - Start with the 'Mild' questions.
Group 4 - Start with the 'Mild' questions and  then move on to 'Spicy'.
​Group 5 - Start with the 'Spicy' and then move on to 'Extra Hot'.

Remember to lay out your sums in a column with HTO.
