Each week, 10 spellings will be uploaded to the blog for the children to practice and learn before a test the following Friday. The words are taken from the Y3/4 Statutory Spelling List.
Look at the word. Say the word. Cover the word. Write the word. Check the word.
Good Morning year 3!! Our last week!!
We have learnt so much about lots of different religions this year!
We will finish the year by trying some art/calligraphy work related to different religions!!
Calligraphy is the art of beautiful writing!! Here are some examples of work in Arabic (Islam), Hebrew (Judaism) and English letters (Christianity). Artists have created gorgeous letters to show respect and honour the holy books.
1. Try any or all of these. You can write your name, holy words or just letters.
Have a great summer holiday and see you in year 4!!!
Don't forget to send me some of your lovely calligraphy!!

Finally Year 3, I want to say have a lovely summer holiday and I look forward to seeing you in September!!!!! À bientôt!!
Hello Year 3,
This is the last PHSE post before the summer holidays!
Last week we discussed strong emotions and thought about what made us angry and how we could calm ourselves down.
This week we will be looking at what our worries are and how we can deal with them. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we all have had a lot more worries than usual and it can be difficult to talk about our problems. Not being able to go to school and talk to friends and teachers has made our worries even harder to deal with. After reading the story on the power point, you can make your own 'Worry Box' and write down some of your worries to put inside.
During the summer holidays I want you to think about your own health and well-being and keep a diary about how you are managing healthy eating, exercise and how you are dealing with your worries.
Don't forget to email me your work at:
Have a lovely break, see you soon!
I have attached the All About Me worksheet I would like you to complete.
You can email them to me at y4C@crumpsall.manchester.sch.uk or keep them until September.
I can't wait to meet you!! I hope you have a lovely summer.
See you in September!
