I hope you are all well. As we are spending more of our time online at the moment, please can everyone watch this short video from the BBC about how to keep yourself when online. It contains some important messages to recap! https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/rse-ks2-safety-keeping-myself-safe/znnjbdm Hi Year 3!!! Last week we looked at the Exodus story and why the Jewish Festival is called Passover, when the angel passed over the homes of the Jewish people. Passover is usually around March or April. This week we will look closer at the Seder meal which is an important part of Passover. You saw a video, here it is again: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0114w71 Now can you choose one of the sheets below to show what you know about the Seder plate, telling me why they eat those different foods.
Writing Hebrew!! Can you try writing the Jewish words next to each food? When you write in Hebrew you have to start from the right side!!
Likes & Dislikes
Watch this video and then say and write 4 sentences to talk about your likes and dislikes using the foods you have learnt over the last week. Here are the words again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nugVKEiPlyY

Last week we focused on our writing skills and applying them. This week we will focus on our reading skills. We will look at different things throughout the week. Day 1 - 15.6.2020 Today we will be focusing on retrieving and recording information . Have a go at the activity attached below.
Day 2 - 16.6.2020 Today we will focus on inference. Read the text and use the clues in the text to think what could the characters be saying to each other.
Day 3- 17.6.2020 Today you will need to predict what is happening in the story and choose your own words to fit into the passage.
Day 4 - 18.6.2020 Today we will focus on looking at features of text and general comprehension skills.
Day 5- 19.6.2020 Today we will be combining all our skills to complete a reading test paper. Please remember to send these in to your teachers to see.
Day 1- 15.6.2020 Below you will find a document with spellings in column A,B and C. You will practice the words in column A today. I would like you to practice these then include them in a sentence. Day 2 - 16.6.20 Repeat this activity with column B. Day 3 - 17.6.20 Complete the activity using words from column C. Day 4 and Day 5 - 18/19.6.2020 I have only given you 3 columns as I would like you to use the next 2 days practicing the words you struggled with the most. You can get a parent or sibling to read out the words and you can write it. You could pay bingo like we do in class. :)
This week we will be focusing on using our mental maths skills.
Day 2: 16.6.20 - Complete today's daily test and remember to send your test to your teacher.
Day 3: 17.6.20 - Can you get more questions correct today?
Day 4: 18.6.20- Remember these are mental maths questions so try your best to work these out in your head mentally.
Day 5 - 19.6.20. Has your score increased ? You can make a note of any questions you struggled with the most and let your teacher know so we can send you extra work to help.
White Rose video resources are also accessible on their website each day, however worksheets are not. You can watch the video and then practise on your own or with an adult. They also have a link to BBC Bitesize to practise further.
