Read your summary of yesterday's  Elevenses  story with David Walliams. Can you draw a picture of what you think one of the characters looks like? Surround your drawing with WOW words and expanded noun phrases to describe their personality and   what they look like. e.g. ruthless, vicious  beast

Step 1- Before you read the 'Heart of Fire' text below, we would like you to look at the title and the image and  predict  what you think the text will be about.
Step 2- Whilst your reading the text, underline any words you don't understand.  Once you've finished reading, clarify the meaning of these words by looking them up online, using a dictionary or asking an adult.
Step 3-  Now you've read it can you write a one sentence summary?

Art- Look at this image. Use your understanding  of shadows to line up some small toys to make shadows on the paper then draw around the shadow. You can use, animals, cars,   flowers or anything that you can find that makes a great shadow.

Today, we would like you  to remember your learning about how shadows are made and how we make them bigger and smaller. Make the most of the sunshine to see if you can create any of the shadow animals below (if the sun has gone in use a lamp or the torch on a phone).

This week  Year 3 are learning about unit and non unit fractions.
