Good morning everyone, Welcome to the EYFS blog with this weeks activities. We hope you have had a lovely week. We loved all of the pictures and videos we were sent this week. Here are the activities for this week and they are all based on one of our stories, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, where you can pick as many activities as you feel you can do this week. The activities will suit all children and cover all areas of the EYFS . We have attached images above for you to use as examples, below are links to stories, songs and activities, then at the bottom of the blog are any files you might need to download or use to guide the learning. All of the EYFS teachers have contributed different ideas and so please share with us either by commenting on the blog or sending us an email and then we can celebrate your pictures at the end of the week. We will continue to have an activity that focuses on communication as well as the Friday celebration blog. Remember to watch phonics everyday by clicking here. A big well done to everyone who has been given a reading certificate this week. You have all read three books this week and that is amazing. Remember - if you are reading a book on Bug Club you must click on the aliens and do the activity. If it does not ask you to rate the book with faces at the end then you have missed something in the book. Mrs Kendall will not know you have read the book unless you do the alien activities. Star of the week A big well done to Ali and Hassan for all of their work at home. Watch the video below to see what special message your teacher has this week.

You will need - paper, pens, you can then add cut out or draw pictures, paint spots, add craft items. Hello everyone, We have 2 activities to do this week. 1st Activity: Simon Says This game will help develop your listening and vocabulary. Your grown up will give you some instructions but you only do the action if your grown up says, ‘Simon says’ before the action word. E.g. “Simon says jump!” If your grown up does not say ‘Simon says’ and says, “Jump!” You must not jump! Here are some instructions for you to listen and do! 2nd Activity: Sequencing This activity will help you to put events in the correct order. You need to know how to do this as this will help you perform things in the correct order. It will also develop vocabulary and encourage you to speak in full sentences. What to do!
Have fun! Mrs Martin |
