Hi guys, I wanted to leave you with a wonderful song, 'Nothing Lasts for ever' by Echo and the bunny men. I just want you listen to it and try to learn it. Hopefully, we will be trying to learn this song in assembly when you start year 6. Enjoy , See you all in September, Mr R https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZF8tVtf-h4 I want it now I want it now Not the promises of what tomorrow brings I need to live in dreams today I'm tired of the song that sorrow sings And i want more than i can get Just trying to, trying to, trying to forget I'd walk to you through rings of fire And never let you know the way I feel Under skin is where i hide The love that always gets me on my knees And i want more than i can get Just trying to, trying to, trying to forget Nothing ever lasts forever Nothing ever lasts forever Nothing ever lasts forever Nothing ever lasts forever I want it now I want it now Don't tell me that my ship is coming in Nothing comes to those who wait Time's running out the door you're running in So, i want more than i can get Just trying to, trying to, trying to forget Nothing ever lasts forever Nothing ever lasts forever Nothing ever lasts forever Nothing ever lasts forever All the shadows and the pain Are coming to you All the shadows and the pain Are coming to you All the shadows and the pain Are coming to you All the shadows and the pain Are coming to you All the shadows and the pain Are coming to you All the shadows and the pain Are coming to you All the shadows and the pain Are coming to you Please complete lesson 1 :
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/ Don't forget to send us your work! Hello children, This week , we want you to complete reading and writing activities based on an information text (non-chronological report) about elves and sprites. For today's learning, we want you to do any learning which is detailed from pages 1 to 7. You will need to read the text to complete the activities. The activities booklet is available to download below. You can also listen to the information text being read by the famous Pie Corbett at: https://soundcloud.com/talkforwriting/whisperer/s-im7KkHzc880 Have fun!
Good morning everyone!
We hope you have had a great weekend! Welcome to the final week of term! It will be fantastic to see everyone make one last big effort to do all the learning activities on offer. These are the learning activities we want you to complete today in addition to English and Maths: The Joe Wicks work out . The work out starts at 9am and lasts for 30 minutes. Click on this link to take part: https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1 From 9.30 – 10.00 am, we want you to practise your spellings. The spelling lists were uploaded on a blog post dated 15/6/20. We suggest that you practise ten spellings each day (start on step 5). Remember to use the ‘Look, say, cover, write, check’ method to remember the spellings. Next, we want you to read for half an hour. Read your book or online text to an experienced reader if possible (this could be your mum, dad, carer, brother, sister or any other relative). While you are reading, ask the person who is listening to you read to ask you questions about the book/text. Questions that could be asked were uploaded with the blog post dated 15/6/20. If you have any questions about the learning activities then please email us at: year5l@crumpsall.manchester.sch.uk (for Mr Ahmed-Swift) year5c@crumpsall.manchester.sch.uk (for Mr Tait) Hi guys, Last week we looked at Palm Sunday. This week we are going to look at Maundy Thursday. Read the power point and answer the questions below. Why did Jesus wash his disciples' feet? Read the short text below in blue. The day after Jesus said these words, he was crucified(put to death on a cross). Read the words carefully. After they had eaten, Jesus took a piece of bread and broke it. ‘This bread is a symbol of my body, which is going to be broken.’ Then, he took a cup of wine and said ‘This wine is a symbol of my blood.’ Do you think what Jesus said means that he knew he was going to be killed and that it was part of God's plan? Hello everyone,
It was great to see many of you, when I dropped off reports this week. It made me think of how resilient you all are in these challenging times! I am proud of you all for staying safe at home and doing home learning from the class blog. I know it has been tough not to have a teacher in front of you explaining things face to face! This is the reason why I have decided to make everyone from 5C Star of the Week! Well done children! Keep staying safe, Mr Tait This week we've had some excellent work from Urwa, some great questions from Zikria, but the music from Pedro was truly amazing.
Well done Pedro , you are our star of the week! |
