RE - Week 1!!

Welcome back year 3!  This half term we will be looking first at Judaism and then Sikhism and seeing what we can discover about these religions.
A - So what do we already know about Judaism? 

1. Place of worship?
2. Holy book?
3. Festivals?
4. Symbols?
5. Special messengers?

Match the words next to the picture to  the questions.

B - Let’s look a little closer at the Passover meal and why this is celebrated in the Jewish calendar.  Watch this Exodus video - https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zbsb9j6
"Exodus" means when lots of people leave somewhere at the same time.

 C - Your task is to write a letter to the Pharoah.  Remind him what the Jewish people are doing for him and how they might be feeling and how he should be treating them. I have started the letter for you and you should put the date on the top line, finish with “Yours sincerely” and put your name on the bottom line.
