Come and join us every day in the Firefly Fun House for your daily dose of phonics! Why not send us a picture of you enjoying your daily phonics lesson and let us share in on the blog. This week, I'd like you to think about what happens when you are playing and you bump in to someone and they fall over. What could you say to make it alright? Then, I'd like you to draw a picture and write another sentence to show what else you could do to make everything alright. Mr Roberts
Hello Year 1, Can I first thank Nicolai and Zarif for sending me their wonderful work on 'Do I know what happens during the Shabbat meal?' This week instead of Shabbat we are going to discuss the Muslim festival of Eid. Ramadan is nearly coming to an end and it is very exciting that Eid will be on Saturday or Sunday! Eid marks the end of fasting for Muslims and is usually spent with family and friends and praying at the mosque. This year however , it will be different because of the lockdown and families will have to celebrate with their own households, dressing up in new clothes and having delicious food to eat. Study the powerpoint first then draw and label what Muslims do to celebrate Eid. Remember to let me know how you get on. My email is: [email protected] Mrs Halim
Go around your home , garden or park during a social distance walk and look for things that you think are beautiful. Look for interesting patterns and colours. Then take a photo, you might want to do a few and put them on a piccollage app. Then send it to Mrs Owens at [email protected],uk. This is an example that my daughter did. Can't wait to see your efforts ! I will put them all on the blog next weekend.
