Morning all, Dr Chips here. Firstly I hope you are all trying to tune into my morning Daily Dose sessions. Here is the website with all the information about each week's sessions.
www.drchips.weebly.com Then in additional to this, your science task for this week is to research animal adaptations to recap our learning about evolution. The steps to this task are: 1. Use Google to research 'Interesting animal adaptations' 2. Either comment or email me at drchips@crumpsall.manchester.sch.uk to tell me about the strangest adaptations you have discovered. For example did you know the Alaskan Wood Frog as adapted to be able to freeze 70% of its body solid during the winter to survive! Extension - Bonus points go to anyone who makes a Powerpoint to present the information they have discovered and emails it to me!

Camel adaptations: large, flat feet - to spread their weight on the sand. thick fur on the top of the body for shade, and thin fur elsewhere to allow easy heat loss.
