Spellings for week beginning 06/07/20

6/7/2020

This week we will be focusing on   Unit 9: Adding the suffix -ion
Day 1- Monday  6th   July 2020
Unit 9: Adding the suffix -ion
Today we would like you to create  a list of words that have the   suffix -ion
e.g.   action

If the verb ends in the letter t we just add -ion:
collect + ion    = collection
But if the verb ends in te we must drop the e before adding -ion:
concentrate + ion   = concentra
tion

Once you have created the list underline the suffix -ion in each word.
Can you make a separate list of all the root words?
