Today is Tuesday and I am sure it will be a terrific day. We have planned some more activities that you will be able to enjoy. Some activities for the day to keep you busy... So at 9am you can start the day with some exercise with Joe Wicks. Just click here to get moving., or Andy's Wild Workout . It is super important for you to keep refreshing your phonic knowledge or even learning some new sounds as this will help you with your reading and writing. To watch today's session click here. 9:30am or 12:30pm - Set 1 (all reception and nursery) 10am or 1pm - Set 2 (most reception) Also log in to your Bug Club to read one of your books. We thought you could try some live animal viewing again today to see if you can see any different animals. If you would like to look at the animals in Edinburgh Zoo follow this link and you can go live to the cameras. Let us know in the comments below if you spot an animal. Literacy activity
We would like you to get a bit creative and pop a sock on your hand and pretend it is something else. If it is an old sock ask your parents if you can decorate your sock. If you have brother or sister ask them to pop a sock on their hand and both talk to each other using your sock puppet. What was your sock puppet? Did it have a name? Ask a grown up to record you with your sock puppet and send it to your class teacher. Maths activity 10 frames are used to help children recognise a total quickly. Watch this cool song to learn about 10 frames. Watch this activity on YouTube and see how you do. You can practise it over again. What amounts can you make with your ten frame? How many will you have if you add one more? How many would you have if you had one less?

Good morning everyone, We hope you enjoyed the weekend. Did you phone and speak to any of your family or make any video calls? As a note to parents, most of our activities are play based and if you have found your child has really enjoyed an activity then please revisit it. We've got some activities that should keep you busy today and get you moving. So at 9am you can start the day with some exercise with Joe Wicks, just click here . Or warm up with Andy's Wild Workout and tell us which animals you pretended to be today. Remember to watch today's session of phonics by clicking here. It is great to see the children who are taking part, they are learning lots of new sounds to help them read and write. 9:30am or 12:30pm - Set 1 (all reception and nursery) 10am or 1pm - Set 2 (most reception) Also log in to your Bug Club to read one of your books. Tell us about the books you have been reading. Mrs Kendall will be logging on to Bug Club and will be seeing who reads books each week. If you read 3 books in a week I will send you a reading certificate. Well done to those who got their certificate last week, you are doing a great job! Literacy activity
Can you tell an adult what you can see outside? Do the things move? If so, how do they move? If they do not, why do they not move? For an extra challenge, can you draw and label the pictures of the things that you can see from your window? Maths activity We would like you to make your own number book. This can be done anyway you like but we have included some pictures below to guide you with different ways of making your number book. Ideally your number book should go to 15 and if you can challenge yourself then try each number to 20. You will need - paper, pens, you can then add cut out or draw pictures, paint spots, add craft items. Hello everyone, We have 2 activities to do this week. 1st Activity: Simon Says This game will help develop your listening and vocabulary. Your grown up will give you some instructions but you only do the action if your grown up says, ‘Simon says’ before the action word. E.g. “Simon says jump!” If your grown up does not say ‘Simon says’ and says, “Jump!” You must not jump! Here are some instructions for you to listen and do! 2nd Activity: Sequencing This activity will help you to put events in the correct order. You need to know how to do this as this will help you perform things in the correct order. It will also develop vocabulary and encourage you to speak in full sentences. What to do!
Have fun! Mrs Martin Firstly, well done to all those children who have logged on and read more than three books this week. Some children were very close as well so keep up the good work. All you need to do to get a certificate is read three books on Bug Club this week. Star of the Week Well done to Hunain in RL and Aria in RC. Look below for a special message from your class teacher.
Good morning everyone!!
Well done for another week of fantastic learning at home. We hope you enjoyed the activities and have managed to safely enjoy the weather. Weekend fun Well done to Khadijah and Kalsoom for this weekends idea because they made a house from a cardboard box, we thought you could try and make new things from your recycling materials. Can you use two yoghurt pots joined by a piece of string to make telephones? What can you make from cardboard boxes? Perhaps it could be a car or a house. Maybe you could make some binoculars from cardboard rolls and look for some birds out of your window. Please remember to keep in touch with us. You can tell us anything that you may have been doing whilst at home. Also, send in some photographs to our email address: rl@crumpsall.manchester.sch.uk - Mrs Kendall rc@crumpsall.manchester.sch.uk - Miss Syme |
